Shawl

I do realize that I spent three weeks knitting the shawl exclusively and that I have not shared a picture of it with you. I have not taken the obligatory close-up knitterly pictures to share with you but I will share these that show it in use.

Posed shot because we are seldom this dressed-up!

The length is slight shorter than ideal because I simply ran out of time. I wet blocked this beginning on Friday evening right before we went to the rehearsal. By the time we were leaving for the wedding on Saturday at 2:30, it was well dried. The yarn is Jade Sapphire Cashmere and I used 1.5 balls.

Here's a dance floor shot. The shawl was only on the dance floor for about two songs before I realized that it was just too damned hot. When I put down the shawl, I also put my hair in a ponytail. I just pass at being dressed up. I am so not good at it.
