SockapalOOOza complete!

I finished my SockapalOOOza socks last night.

Requisite attempt to photgraph my own feet:

Self_shot

It was about 10:00 last night when I took these pics so the color is a little funny- no natural light to be had.

Specs:

Pattern: Pomatomus from Knitty Winter '05

Designer: Cookie A

Yarn: Tess' Super Socks

Needles: US 2 Clover bamboo double points

Started: April 1, 2006

Finished: April 20, 2006

For: SockapalOOOza

Notes: These were very fun to knit. They took longer to knit than most socks that I have done because I did refer to the chart very often. One thing that I am not entirely thrilled with is the way the yarn-overs look on the right side of the foot:

Yos

There are a few ways to avoid the largeness of the yarn-overs. Part of the problem is having yarn overs at the beginning of the needle. I think I also could have knitted into the YO differently so as to not have such large gaps. Overall though, I'm happy with these socks and will be proud to send them to the recipient.

Wait until you hear who is getting them! It's a small world, I tell ya!

They look great, Christy! Your recipient will be so happy. How funny that it's a small-world person for you. Mine is a complete stranger to me; I'm pretty sure our bloggy paths would never have crossed if not for this! (Which just means that the worl dis getting smaller, I guess :))

Very beautiful! I think it was a pretty clever move to go for a slightly variegated yarn. My Pomis are solid and somehow I like the sizzle of yours better. They are not for me though, I'm visiting for the first time ;-)

wooohoo! gorgeous, I just cast on for these last night using the same brand of yarn, but a shade of mostly blue with deep purples and neon green. Good to know that the yarn didn't pool on you.
